The Air Products company is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of industrial gases. It has been operating on the market for almost 80 years. The main company activity is the production of atmospheric and process gases and corresponding equipment for different industries, including oil refining and petrochemistry, metallurgy, electronics, and the food industry.  

The Air Products company is also world’s leading supplier of liquefied natural gas processing technology and corresponding equipment. The company develops, creates,  owns, and manages some of the biggest industrial gas projects worldwide. This includes gasification projects on converting natural resources into synthesis gas to produce electricity, fuel, and chemicals with high added value. 

Reasons for automation

Our customers are corporative companies, management companies, customer services for real estate objects, huge trading networks, and manufacturing companies.  We need to prepare documentation quickly and accurately for them. We expect that our accounting service will quickly search for documents and will not make mistakes on data input. 

We also keep accounting of equipment by serial numbers and provide warranties.

We need a solution that allows us to organize document management effectively, quickly search for documents, account for serial numbers during shipment, and prepare warranty documentation.

Business automation process

Koderline specialists proposed a solution based on 1C:Accounting 8, we connected bar-coding to documents, set up barcode generation to take into account the document number, and created a separate catalog for serial numbers.

The catalog data are used in all documents for shipment: invoice, sales, invoice, also the print form of warranty agreement is formed by serial number and if there are several components with serial numbers in the shipment, they are included in the print form all of them.

Project results:

We have a system in which we can find any document very quickly and, most importantly, we can print warranty and contract documents with serial numbers along with the package of standard documents.
